Prague isn’t just where we operate, it’s who we are. As a small program based entirely in this beautiful city, our full attention is on making every student’s experience here as enriching and memorable as possible. Excursions, site visits, and guest lectures help to broaden our courses far beyond the classroom walls, giving students the context they need to understand their new surroundings. Our staff and faculty know Prague inside and out, and we love sharing it with students authentically in the hopes that they will love our city as much as we do.

At the heart of our program is a close-knit team of Czech and American staff committed to building a welcoming, friendly community for every student who joins us in Prague. We believe that a semester abroad works best when students can balance new adventures and personal growth with a safe and supportive home base. From the moment a student begins their application until long after they’ve left Prague, we’re here with empathy, enthusiasm, and an open door. Our team brings a wealth of experience and a genuine love for this city, but above all, we’re here to ensure students feel seen, supported, and connected—every step of the way.
While studying abroad with AEP, I had my first experience in international journalism. That experience gave me the confidence and direction to pursue global journalism after graduation, from moving back to Prague to covering stories across Europe. I cannot thank AEP enough for igniting this passion and helping me take my first steps into a global journalism career.
