Living Like a Local
Apartment Living in the Heart of Prague
AEP provides comfortable, fully furnished apartments shared with fellow AEP students. Our housing is pre-approved, thoroughly vetted by our team, and located in the heart of historic Prague, with every apartment just a short walk or quick tram ride from the AEP building. No two apartments are exactly alike—each one offers its own layout, character, and a touch of European charm. All landlords are English-speaking and experienced in working with international students, so you can settle in with ease and feel at home from the start.

Our faculty includes distinguished academics, policy experts, journalists, and working professionals who bring real-world perspectives into every lesson.
We have all had bad random roommate experiences in the past, but within a week, we were all friends. We all got along so well. We get back from school and put on our favorite TV show, eat dinner, and chat. It’s my favorite part of the day.

At first I was nervous about living in Prague 2, but it ended up being perfect. I had great access to the city without the stress of being in a really active part of town.

I love that we get to just live life like a normal person in the Czech Republic would. We have our own apartments and become fully immersed in the culture.

The AEP Housing Department is working magic. We all really connected. We hang out every day, and we go on trips together. We are all really close.

FAQs
Everything you need to know about AEP Housing. Can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Please reach out to our team.
What is the room occupancy?
AEP apartments offer both single and double occupancy rooms. You can indicate your preference when completing the housing application.
Can I choose my roommates?
Roommate assignments are based on the lifestyle preferences you share in your housing application. If you request to live with a specific AEP student, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request whenever possible.
When can I move into the apartment?
Move-in takes place during arrivals weekend, which is marked on each semester’s academic calendar. You will receive detailed move-in instructions well in advance.
Are the apartments standardized?
Not at all — and that’s part of their charm! All AEP apartments are located in historic buildings, so no two are exactly alike. Each has its own unique style, size, and character. However, all apartments are furnished with the standard list of essential items.
How will I pay the rent, and what is included?
Rent is paid in two installments by bank transfer or credit/debit card. The amount is calculated per day (not per month) based on the dates specified in your housing contract. Please note: Rent is non-refundable in the event of early departure. The rent is all-inclusive and covers utilities, energy costs, regular cleaning, and Wi-Fi.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. A security deposit is required as financial protection for any potential property damage or unpaid charges. The deposit is paid in cash (USD) to avoid unnecessary currency exchange or bank transfer fees. It will be refunded in cash 1–2 days before your departure, provided there are no outstanding issues or damages.
