Tuition & Program Fee Breakdown
Tuition is paid in two instalments: a $500 deposit due shortly after the application deadline, and the remainder of the tuition due two months prior to the start of the semester. Tuition deposits and fees are generally non-refundable, except in extenuating circumstances, to be determined by the program director on a case-by-case basis.

How do I pay for housing?
Housing is billed separately and may be paid either by the student or by the home university, depending on your school’s arrangement. If you are unsure which applies to you, please check with your home institution’s Study Abroad Office. Payments can be made via credit card, check, or bank transfer. Payment instructions will be included in your billing statement.
When will I receive my billing statement?
Billing statements are typically sent 2–3 months before the program begins, following your acceptance email.
What does the payment schedule look like?
Your payment will be split into two parts:1. $500 nonrefundable deposit2. Remaining balance, due 14 days from the billing date

Can I use financial aid to pay for the AEP program?
Yes, financial aid can be used. The process depends on your institution:If your school pays AEP directly, financial aid may be transferred internally.
If you pay AEP directly, you’ll need to request that your Financial Aid Office complete the AEP Financial Aid Form after your acceptance.
Please speak with your Study Abroad Office and Financial Aid Office early to ensure all steps are completed on time.

Is there a discount for returning AEP students?
Yes! The AEP Alumni Go-Again Discount offers a discount for students attending consecutive semesters. Eligibility requires that the first semester has been fully paid and the student is accepted for another AEP term.
What happens if I need to withdraw or cancel?
If you need to cancel your participation, the following refund policy applies:
Before the program starts:
31+ days before arrival: You will receive a refund minus a $500 cancellation fee and any non-recoverable costs.
1–30 days before arrival: You will receive a refund of 50% of the program fee.
After the program starts (arrival date or later):
No refunds will be provided.
Non-recoverable costs are expenses already committed on your behalf, such as housing arrangements, Czech insurance, and course or trip costs. These are non-refundable to AEP, even if you cancel.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to AEP staff during business hours.
