Magda is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, where she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses on banking and financial markets. Since 2020, she has held the position of Chair of the Academic Senate of the Faculty alongside her academic duties. She also serves as a Shortterm Expert for the International Monetary Fund (IMF), contributing specialised supervisory expertise in various banking supervisory and regulatory topics through multiple technical assistance missions worldwide.

Before that, she spent nearly two decades in the Financial Market Supervision Division of the Czech National Bank, progressing from onsite inspector to Head of the offsite prudential supervision team. Magda holds a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, and has been a CFA Charter holder since 2006.
