Pavla Jonssonová has taught courses at Charles University in Prague, Anglo-American University in Prague, ECES, and CIEE, Prague. Since her 1998 Fulbright scholarship at UC Santa Cruz, she has specialized in the study of alternative culture. She wrote her dissertation on Czech alternative music of the 1980s and published it as a book with Karolinum University Press. Her publications include three monographs as well as chapters, articles, interviews, songs, poetry, and translations.
