Todd Nesbitt, Ph.D. is Director of European Programs for Empire State University. Beforetaking on the position in November of 2024, he worked as a mentor for students inEmpire State University’s undergraduate program in Prague and served as Dean of theSchool of Communication and Media at the University of New York in Prague. Mostrecently, in addition to managing the Communication and Media, Digital Media Arts,and English Literature programs, he directed strategic initiatives in institutional researchas Dean of Research and Development for UNYP. An engaged scholar, Dr. Nesbitt is anactive contributor within the European communication and media community in thearea of media and democracy.
His most recent publications assess the state of the newsmedia in the Czech Republic (2024), and an analysis of the Czech disinformation scene’sattacks on the Green Deal (2024). Dr. Nesbitt holds degrees in Communication andMedia studies from the University of Windsor (Canada) and Charles University in Prague.
