Marie Straková

Marie is from Kolín, a town 60 km from Prague and very close to the historic town of Kutná Hora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After high school, she moved to Denver, Colorado, where she worked as an au pair for two and a half years and enjoyed hiking and skiing in the Rockies. Her love for the outdoors later led her to Banff National Park in Canada, where she worked as a Guest Service Agent at an art center and took full advantage of everything a mountain town had to offer - hiking, skiing, and even curling. Now back in the Czech Republic, Marie enjoys hiking in Krkonoše National Park and spending time in nature whenever she can. She's happy to be part of the AEP team in Prague and is excited to plan fun activities for students and help them feel at home during their time here.
